Électix
Draw, close, claim — and never get touched.
Leave the edge and draw a line into the open.
Close it on an edge: the area is yours.
Eighty percent, and the level is won.
What is on the screen
The ball
That's you. It runs along the edges, and draws a line as soon as it heads into the open.
The beast
It whirls around the open space. If it touches the line you are drawing, you lose a life.
The caterpillar
It crawls along the edges. On the edge, it is the danger; while you draw, it disappears.
Spare lives
One star per life left, besides the one in play. Three lives in all, and none to earn.
The multiplier box
It changes colour on its own. The area you close takes its colour, and its value.
Drawing
On the edge, the arrows run the ball along. An arrow pointing into the open sends it off, drawing a white line behind it.
Once it is off, it keeps going on its own in its last direction; all you do is turn. It goes up, down, left, right — never diagonally — and turning straight back is refused.
Reach an edge: the line closes, and the area on the side where the beast is not becomes yours.
Two dangers, never at once
On the edge, the caterpillar is the threat: if its head gets near you, you lose a life. The beast cannot reach you there.
While drawing, it is the other way round: the caterpillars leave the board and only come back, further away, when the line closes. But the beast can touch your line, and that is it.
A line that runs too long, or a ball stuck against its own line, also costs a life. After a death, the ball starts again from the last safe point and the line is wiped.
Colour, and points

The box keeps cycling: blue, green, red, and round again. What counts is the colour at the moment the line closes: every percent claimed is worth 10 points in blue, 50 in green, 100 in red.
Red lasts less than two seconds. To catch it, wait for it from the edge and keep a short line in mind.
Winning the level
Eighty percent claimed, and the level is won. Every percent beyond that pays 1000 bonus points: one last big closure is worth more than a small one.
Levels
On the second level, two caterpillars crawl the edges. On the third, two beasts whirl in the open. A line that cuts them apart makes the second one vanish — but the caterpillars then move twice as fast. There are nine levels, and the ninth repeats.
